What is EMDR Therapy?

Eye Movemen Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a powerful psychotherapy approach that may relieve many types of psychological distress.  It has been designatted as an effective treatment by the American Psychiatric Association, the World Health Organization (WHO), the US Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense, and the US Deparment of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Approximately 20 controlled studies have investigated the effects of EMDR theapy.  These studies have consistently found that EMDR therapy effectivley decreases/eliminates the symptoms of post traumatic stress for the maojority of clients.

Clinicians have also reportd success using EMDR therapy in the following conditions:
